On October 30th, Kelphil hosted its first ever employee-only Halloween Party with the spine-chilling theme “Welcome to the Dark Side”.
The employees were welcomed by a world of darkness, where the eerie and supernatural came to life through creative costumes, haunting decorations, and an immersive experience. Each department represented its own movie theme: The Admin Group as the Addams Family, the FBU group as Harry Potter, the Architectural group with their Nightmare Before Christmas theme, the Civil group with their Alice in Wonderland theme, and the Kokuyo-Mechanical group representing Stranger Things. The party was successfully executed with the help of our host, John Levie Manalad.
Our venue underwent a dramatic transformation for the night, with decorations that perfectly captured the theme of “Welcome to the Dark Side.” From cobweb-covered tombstones to eerie lighting that cast ominous shadows, the space truly felt like it had crossed into another realm.
The Best in Decoration award was awarded to the top 3 most creative and scariest group. The bronze award went to the FBU group, decorated like an old haunted wizard castle with flickering floating candles. The silver award went to the Architectural Group, decorated like an old cemetery with an ominous spooky tree and a haunted Christmas-themed village. Lastly, the gold award went to the Civil group, decorated like a passage to another world with their gigantic mushrooms and card soldiers. The atmosphere was undeniably chilling, making it an ideal spot for photos and a favorite for partygoers seeking the perfect dark backdrop.
The Best in Costume award was hotly contested, with many impressive outfits showcasing creativity, attention to detail, and a true embrace of the theme. After careful consideration, the Fujiki Business Unit (FBU) won the Best in Costume award with their complete Hogwarts costume. Aiza Michelle Canlas of the Kokuyo group, who came dressed as Max from Stranger Things, won the Scariest Costume award with a monstrous grin that sent shivers down anyone’s spine. The costume was not only visually striking but also reflected the essence of the dark side with its mysterious and magical elements.
The “Welcome to the Dark Side” Halloween party was a resounding success, full of spine-tingling excitement, incredible costumes, and haunting decorations.”.
The night celebrated creativity, spookiness, and the allure of the mysterious darkness that we all embraced— even if only for one night. A special thanks to all the attendees who participated and made the event unforgettable. We can’t wait for next year’s haunted journey into the unknown!
